Which Las Vegas Hotel Rooms Print E-mail
Sunday, 26 November 2006
When most people make plans to go to Las Vegas, they are usually thinking about the gambling they will be doing or the shows that they will be seeing and they give less thought to their choice of Las Vegas hotel rooms.  Although many people book trips to Las Vegas through package deals, they should still pay attention to the Las Vegas hotel rooms that are available, and if they don’t like what the package is offering, they should ask for something else.

When visiting Las Vegas, ideally it is best to secure Las Vegas hotel rooms that are associated with specific casinos.  Staying in a hotel room that is only an elevator ride away from a casino, such as what is available at casino resorts, saves a lot of time and traveling.  Unless you received a package deal for a resort and casino stay, however, you’ll usually pay a high price for resort Las Vegas hotel rooms.  If you want to save money on your hotel room in order to have more money for gambling or dining, then you could look into some of the hotels that are not affiliated with casinos.  Within the city limits of Las Vegas are several smaller hotels and motels, some of which will offer great rates in order to lure customers away from the larger resort hotels.

It is simply a matter of personal preference and budget when it comes to choosing Las Vegas hotel rooms to stay in.  Even if you stay in a smaller hotel off of the main strip that is not affiliated with a casino, you are rarely very far away from the action.

Las Vegas Hotel Rooms Online

Two of the best things about booking Las Vegas hotel rooms online are the virtual tours and the calendars.  Most of the luxury hotels have both of these on their websites.

A virtual tour allows you to see every aspect of the hotel room.  It’s a 3-dimensional picture that pans the entire room so you can see the bed, the table or desk, the couch and TV, which is usually housed in a luxurious armoire, the floors, the walls, and in some cases, the outside view.  You can get a sense of how big Las Vegas hotel rooms or suites are by clicking on the virtual tour button.

You can also see a list of amenities on the website.  It’s so much easier than asking all the questions you might have over the phone.  Even if you’d rather book Las Vegas hotel rooms over the phone, having a look at the website first helps a lot.

The calendars you’ll find on the websites typically show 2 or 3 months at a time, rates and availability.  This is a super-valuable tool because you can tell at a glance when would be the most economical time to book Las Vegas hotel rooms.  Sometimes just changing your plans by one day can mean hundreds of dollars in savings.  For example, at one luxury hotel on the Strip, rates for one calendar month ranged from $140 - $640 per night!

It would be nearly impossible to figure all this out over the phone.  Besides, it’s so easy to compare Las Vegas hotel rooms online without having to hold or scribble information.
